A review of Al Casbah by Sabrina written on Saturday 6th of May 2006
IT shouldnt be called Algerian retaurant, rather: fast food, BBQ shop or mediteranian starters...something like this. The meat is nice but just reducing the whole of the algerian cuisine to what is in the menu is just insulting.
The Algerian cuisine is a blund of Imazighen, mediteranian, Arabic and Turkish cuisine with a huge variety and different tastes..
Please customers enjoy it if you want but bear in mind the food is very simple...and the Couscous (seksou is the original name) provided is far from being the authentic couscous..I would call it English couscous, as I came to discover this COUSCOUS only when i came to England,,,,having come from Algeria!!!
