A review of Al Casbah by Deana written on Sunday 26th of February 2006
Me and my boyfriend went to Al Casbah on a saturday night. You need to book in advance as you'll never get a seat at peak times. It is vey cramped and you'll nearly rub shoulders with the next table, but if you don't mind that it's a reasonably priced restaurant. The food is tasty and large portions!!
The choice of alcoholic drink on their set menu is limited to wines mostly and you can not get a lager or bacardi breezer. It's not particuarly cheap either, prices are £2.75 for a glass of wine or starting at £10 a bottle. I am not a wine drinker and chose Champagne for £14 a bottle and it tasted a bit sickly!
The waitresses are a bit clueless, you'll ask them a question about the menu or food and they won't know and forget to come back with the answer!!.
