A review of Loch Fyne Seafood Bar & Grill by Disappointed Regular written on Saturday 19th of November 2005
Food is tasty but only visit Loch Fyne for lunch if you have several hours to spare!
We waited one hour between our starters and main course. When the main courses arrived, one was stone cold and two were so hot that the initial mouthful burned mouths.
When we mentioned the time issue to the otherewise helpful and friendly staff, the response was "This is normal for a Saturday" and (from the Duty Manager), "If you were a regular, you would know this happens."
I have been going to Loch Fyne at least once a month since it opened in Cambridge. I think that is fairly regular. Are these supposed to be acceptable reasons for poor service?
It is a shame as the food is generally still great and the wine selection is excellent (if a little expensive eg. £27 for a mediocre Chablis)..
