A review of Carpenters Arms by Mark Boden written on Sunday 6th of November 2005
A great little pub with an eclectic mix of interesting and chatty punters - all happy to chat to complete strangers. The bar staff are some of the most jovial and helpful pub staff i've seen in the whole of Cambridge, and the food is wholesome and tastey. Kids are allowed every day and they too seem to enjoy the atmosphere. The beer garden is their new addition; having decking and lighting put in place, which only adds to the pub's style and increases it's space. In the summer it is absolutely lovely. If you like your Timothy Taylor's then the Carpenters stock it as well as a good selection of other ales, lagers, wine etc. The prices are reasonable and they do have a Juke box, pool table, games machine..
